The Atomium was designed by André Waterkeyn (1917-2005)
Atomium +gyroscopic inspired spherical chambers +mobility = Atomium 2.0
…or maybe the outer spheres could revolve around the centre sphere, or be joined to other spheres on another Atomium unit to make Atomium cities. With greenhouses and hydroponic plants and solar cells and hydrogen powered microwaves! Or somehow, each sphere could close itself off from its connecting shaft, while simultaneously extending wings or some other flying appendage enabling it to circumnavigate the globe…or city. And of course, it would be a hybrid sphere, but only until we’ve perfected the art of cheap and efficient batteries that don’t do more damage than good.
Or, I could go and study for my last final exam, saving science fiction for the future. just one more, though: one of those shafts must absolutely be a slide greater than all the elementary school playground slides put together… ish.

One Drink To Many
I hope I get to visit a structure like this before I die.
i’d edit it a little bit but this would be so sick.
been here. it’s really cool.
I used to dream about (and draw) living in such spaces. Except mine’s on a multi-storey-multi-functional… BUS. It even...
Seems like there would be a little wasted space in this design.
